Mountains and Seas in Islam: Signs of Allah’s Power

Introduction

Have you ever stood by the sea and listened to the waves? Or looked at a tall mountain reaching the sky? Both mountains and seas are among the most amazing creations of Allah. They remind us how powerful and merciful He is.

In the Qur’an, Allah often tells us to look at the mountains and the seas. Mountains are firm and strong, like pegs that keep the earth steady. Seas are wide and deep, full of life and blessings.

Qur’an Verse

“And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you, and rivers and paths, so that you may find your way.” (Surah An-Nahl: 15)
